Unlocking Access and Inclusion: a Two-Day Team Building Experience

Join SIC for two days of creative facilitation and workshops around disability, neurodivergence, and access and inclusion.

Looking for a fun and creative double day of learning?

Alice (CEO) and Dan (Associate Consultant) both bring their lived experience and expertise to this fun, in-person training session.

Over two days we will unlock your team’s understanding of access, inclusion, disability, chronic illness, and neurodivergence.

During the session we will:

  • Create your teammates’ “User Manuals”

  • Use Lego Serious Play to learn new things and put in place changes and ideas for your organisation

  • Build knowledge and understanding of the experience of nearly 1 in 4 of the working aged population

  • Create an engaging and creative away day for your team.

As well as Lego Serious Play, and User Manual For Me methodologies we will also use a variety of facilitation techniques, exercises and activities.

What does the two days of learning look like?

Each organisation is different, so we love creating something that works for you, the below is just a suggested framework.

Day one - between 4 to 5 hours of learning with plenty of time for breaks. This day focusses on building your team’s knowledge of access and inclusion providing a background in disability, neurodivergence, hidden disabilities, accessibility, and the workplace. During this session we will lay the foundations for your team’s user manuals.

Day two - between 4 to 5 hours of learning with plenty of time for breaks. This session uses methodologies such as Lego Serious Play to unlock the potential of your organisation to become a leading accessible employer. We’ll take a deeper dive into the challenges faced by your organisation and provide an action plan for change. Your team will all leave with their completed user manuals and a better understanding of their’s and their colleagues’ ways of working.

Throughout - we use bespoke video case studies that represent the wider intersectionality of disabled voices. Where possible, our case studies come from within your sector, or discuss challenges that you as an organisation face.

2 days of learning: £3,995 plus travel.

This was one of the most engaging training programmes I have been a part of, I learnt a great deal about disability and how my peers think of themselves and how I can support them and thoroughly recommend Alice and the team at SIC.
