Breaking Barriers in the Events Industry.
An unacceptable 93% of disabled delegates face barriers when attending events, with many forced to miss out on experiences entirely.
From inaccessible venues and vague access information to sensory overload and exclusion by design, hundreds of thousands of potential attendees are prevented from taking part — not because they don’t want to, but because events weren’t built with them in mind.
We can support you to break down those barriers and create truly accessible events.
Events should be for everyone.
Events are powerful: they connect people, build communities, and shape culture. Yet when access isn’t prioritised from the start, entire communities get left behind.
That means:
Disabled, neurodivergent and chronically ill people can’t participate
Organisers miss out on engaged, loyal attendees
Events lose reach, impact and revenue
We exist to change that..
Don’t let access issues impact your guest list.
Events designed with inclusion in mind.
We work with your events team to understand where the barriers are and how to remove them with practical, audience-centred support.
SIC can support you with:
Identifying access barriers in events of all types
Creating inclusive event strategies that work for everyone
Workshops and consulting rooted in lived experience
Practical tools and resources to embed accessibility at every stage
We don’t do checklists — we help you make events that people can actually engage with.
Because accessible events must be more than just a checklist.

Don’t just take our word for it…
“The inclusivity workshops with SIC are incredibly insightful and engaging. They helped us to build a picture of what inclusivity means to us as individuals and what it could look like across the company at Blue Elephant, as well as the projects which we support. We're motivated to make our business and events accessible to everyone and feel confident that SIC is the right partner to help us.”
